Reaching for the stars

Reaching for the stars

As part of our commitment to the education of students at Westgarth Primary School, we are once again offering students in Years 4 - 6 the opportunity to participate in ‘Reaching for the stars’ – an after school extra-curricular extension and enrichment program.

The 2018 programs are:

  • Senior band (New)
  • Movie Makers (New)
  • Sewing society
  • STEM club (A) and (B)
  • Wildlife at Westgarth (Term 2 only).

One hundred and six students are participating in this year’s Reaching for the stars program. Students received a letter informing them of their successful enrolment on Tuesday, 27 March.

There are still place available for Wildlife at Westgarth. Please complete and return the enrolment form or contact the office if your child would like to secure a place in this program which begins Wednesday, 2 May.

Wildlife at Westgarth: Places still available

Students will go bird watching, grow and look after their own plants, build habitats, make plant and animal art, and discover land and water bugs as well as Westgarth's night creatures.

Sewing society: Helper needed!

Aimee Murphy is seeking a parent/carer to help on Monday afternoons (3:45 – 4:30 pm) in terms 2 and 3 with threading machines, setting/packing up and offering students support with how to use equipment. Please contact the office if you are able to help.
